Teach a pick and place task to a robot

Methods that allow humans to teach tasks to robots have gained popularity over the last years due to numerous advantages such as ease of programming for non-experts. During the internship you will develop the necessary software that will enable humans to teach a pick and place task to a robotic arm. You will gain experience on programming and control of a robotic manipulator, specifically the Elephant Robotics my-Cobot. Furthermore, you will learn to apply fundamental computer vision methods for object detection. The minimum requirement is knowledge of Python/C++. Knowledge of image processing and ROS are considered a plus. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Athanasios Polydoros (apolydoros@lincoln.ac.uk).
