Please see below for any funded opportunities we currently offer. Besides these funded opportunities, we are always interested to work with excellent robotics researchers from around the world. Be it as a visiting researcher, or visiting Post-Graduate student, or as an intern, if you share our passion for robotics, we like to hear from you (see bottom of this page).
Funded Opportunities
Other Opportunities (Student projects, self-funded PhD, visiting researchers and interns)
We usually don’t have direct funding available to support interns or visiting researcher. You are expected to fund this yourself or through a bursary. If we can offer funded opportunities, you will find them above.
If you want to enrol as a Post-Graduate Research (PhD or MSc by Research) student at the University of Lincoln, please still use the form below to make contact with a potential supervisor first (if they express an interest to supervise you, your chances to be accepted are much higher when you apply for the programme of study, so get in touch first!), but also check the information at https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/studywithus/postgraduatestudy/.
If you are looking for opportunities to fund your PhD or Post-Doctoral research, make sure you read about suitable funding schemes which you may be eligible to apply for. While we are happy to support your application, such schemes are usually very competitive and you will have to prepare a competitive application yourself.
So, wether you are interested in joining as a Postgraduate Research student, supervised by an L-CAS academic, or a visiting researcher, postdoctoral fellow, visiting post-graduate student or intern for a fixed period of time, please in all these cases fill out our Expression of Interest Form. Besides indicating why you’d want to work with us, you have the opportunity to indicate two L-CAS members in the form, who will look at your expression of interest and potentially get back to you. Please also note that we may only respond to candidates that have indicated a good match with our research interests and indicate great academic potential in their expression of interest. Please don’t take it personal if you don’t hear back from us. This is due to the volume of requests we typically receive.
Some proposed research topics
Below you find a list of research topics currently suggested by our researchers. These are indicative and non-exclusive but give you an idea whom you may want to work with before filling our Expression of Interest Form. These are also possible projects for students at the University of Lincoln supervised by our researchers and academics.
Note: Students enrolled into a taught programme of study of the University of Lincoln and seeking to be supervised by onw of our academics, should not fill an expression of interest form but just reach out to the supervisors mentioned in the project ideas below as directed by their respective module coordinators.
