Study Robotics and AI at Lincoln

Join us at the University of Lincoln and be part of the future of AI and robotics technology! Whether you’re starting your journey with our undergraduate robotics-flavoured degrees, advancing your knowledge with our MSc, or pursuing research through our postgraduate programmes, we offer the expertise, facilities, and connections to help you succeed in your robotics career.

The University of Lincoln offers world-class education in robotics and autonomous systems, with programmes enriched by the research excellence of the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems (L-CAS), one of the UK’s leading robotics research centres and contributing members of the UK-RAS and EU Robotics networks. The Lincoln Agri-Robotics (LAR) project, funded in 2019 by Research England’s Expanding Excellence in England (E3) fund (first cohort), led to significant expansion of our robotics capabilities, bridging L-CAS with the Lincoln Institute for Agri-food Technology (LIAT). Together, we earned a 2023 Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Innovation in Agri-Food Technology. We lead two UKRI-funded doctoral training centres: AgriFoRwArdS (funded by EPSRC) and SUSTAIN (funded by UKRI’s AI CDT programme).

At Lincoln, you’ll learn from leading researchers who are pushing the boundaries of robotics technology. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including Boston Dynamics Spot robots, industrial robotic manipulators, PAL Robotics ARI humanoids, and various mobile robots. L-CAS provides an exceptional research environment that enhances your learning experience throughout your studies.

BSc, BEng, MEng programmes with Robotics

Many of the University’s BSc, BEng and MEng programmes offer an opportunity to get into robotics, be it comprehensive foundation in robotics engineering, machine learninig and AI, or robot programming.
